Bizarre Livestreamer Arrested In L.A.
Anthony Robert D'Amato Jr. taken into custody on 26 counts by LAPD
A fringe livestreamer known for attacking critics of a Los Angeles cult was arrested on Thursday on charges of cruelty to a child, stalking, and violating a restraining order, according to eyewitnesses.
54 year-old Anthony Robert D’Amato Jr., who frequently criticizes anti-Scientology protestors, was arrested in downtown Los Angeles around 10:20 a.m., sources told this publication. Officer Drake Madison, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department, confirmed D’Amato’s arrest via email.
On January 30, we published 13 pages of public records revealing that last December, authorities issued a warrant for D’Amato’s arrest on 26 counts in total - including stalking of a minor - related to his obsessive, frequently bizarre livestreams in which he repeatedly targets critics of the Church of Scientology. D’Amato livestreams under the name “Zero” Dark Tony on both YouTube, and Rumble.
D’Amato remains in custody on $130,000 bail. He has not yet responded to a request for comment.
