Fringe YouTube Host Makes Court Appearance

Anthony Robert D'Amato Jr. is charged with 26 counts of violating a restraining order, cruelty to a child and stalking.

A fringe livestreamer charged by the Los Angeles City Attorney in a bizarre case involving alleged electronic harassment against an anti-Scientology activist appeared in court earlier today.

Anthony Robert D’Amato Jr. is charged in a 26-count criminal complaint concerning an underage activist who frequently protests the Church of Scientology. He briefly appeared today in front of Superior Court Judge Lucy Armendariz following his arrest last Thursday. Prosecutors requested Judge Armendariz raise D’Amato’s bail to million dollars, which was subsequently denied.

The next hearing is scheduled for March 4 at 8:30 a.m. D’Amato nor the City Attorney responded to requests for comment by the time of publication.
